Love is wanting to make the other person happy, wanting to take care of the person and make them feel special, and only wanting the best, and trusting them
Romance is a thoughtful gift, a commitment, encouragement, and compliments, a single rose, candles, and soft music... with someone you love.
Sex is pleasure, sex is just sex if there is no love or romance involved
I don't think that there should be a difference between these three things... I think that if you are in love, romance should be involved and if you are having sex it should be with someone you love. So as far as Im concerned, these three things are closely related.

WoW! Okay then. I just read some of these answers and finally realized we DO live in a f**ked up world! Sex is just sex? It has nothing to do with being in love??? It's true that sex, many times, is done between people that sometimes don't even like each other...they just want to get off...period. Of course that's what the point of masturbation is. The order of things is SUPPOSED to be romance; where you go out on a date and do something special, or set up a candle lit dinner and get to know each other through conversation. If you still like the person, you might send some flowers or other nice gesture. Then love...the desire to be with this person all the time, and when your not you find it hard to think about anything else but them. This burning desire then should lead to a sexual desire, where you explore each other physically and learn what makes each other want more. Oh yeah, I forgot, that's called "making love", not sex. Sex is just that, animal lust with no meaning or direction other than to as one person put it...finding the "big O". In my opinion...if you REALLY want to find the "Big O", try making love instead of just having sex. You'll be amazed!! As for you people who say you can have sex without being in love. or that love isn't necessary to have sex...you make yourself sound like what you most likely are!

Okay, love is unexplainable. Something you never felt b4 and you know it when you feel it. Romance is basically doing nice things for her like buying her gifts and taking her to dinners and movies, while in bed do things like prepare candles, rose peddles, scented lotions or oils, or freaky things (if thats her thing), and sex is if it's just a booty call, just tear that girl up son!!! No feelings no nothing......get your nut and move on.....

Love is something you feel for a person. You accept them unconditionally as they do you. Romance is being whined and dined. Your significant other does little things for you to let you know that you are loved. Sex is being uninhibited and going for the "big O". Making love is learning your partners body and how to please them.
