My puppy was had a stool sample done and was said to have whips and hookworms. The doctor gave me the medication called Panacur. To be given 1cc/week at 10 doses. There is 11 cc in the syringe he gave me. 1 was given at the doctors. So actually she has 10 weeks to go. 11 all together. I noticed the blue specks in her stool after her first stool after taking the medicine. She had a had done it 41/2 hours after taking the med.

Let me get this straight you have been treating your dog for 12 weeks for whip and hook worms..that doesn't; seem normal to me. I think you should take a stool sample into your vets and have them check it. Depends on how bad your dog had them it should have only been one or two treatments. I would take a stool sample in before you give your dog any more medicine.

Adding this....That could be from the meds you have your puppy on. If you are worried then call your vet and talk to him about it .. It could be normal..Hope your dog is feeling better soon. I wish you all the luck, so good to know you are taken care of your dog. You dog will be alright so don't worry.

To be sure, ALWAYS consult your veterinarian.

Blue speckles? I work with lots of infested dogs and usually just see worms coming out in their stool. Although, hook can be hard to see sometimes. We don't generally give treatment for 12 weeks, but there are different meds that do different things.

Be on the safe side. Talk to a vet professional.

Look up Panacur on the net. I've given it many times to rescues and the dose has always been one dose a week for 3 weeks.

Worms aren't usually blue on excretion but I guess your interpretation of what they look like and mine would be very different. Maybe call your vet and ask, they generally don't charge for a follow-up question.

Is it possible she's chewed something.
