He always carries his treats to the same spot before he eats them.

Nope. My dog does that all the time too. Maybe they're just comfortable that way.

Besides, my *other* pets do the same thing. They take their bowls from the kitchen and neatly place them on a dining table during oddly appointed times ("breakfast", "lunch", "dinner") and eat and they seem to do this *every single time...

Absolutely! just kidding. My dog has about 4 favorite spots where he goes to eat his treat, depending on the treat. My other dog has only one spot...far away from the other dog, under a tree, behind the shed, because he will steal her treats if she's not finished and he is! Then i had one dog who would only eat her treats under the kitchen table...if she was outside she would stand there with it, or drop it and act uninterested until she came inside, then would force her way under the table.

People do it too. That's why we have tables. My dog buries her treats for a day or two before she digs them up and eats them in her bed.

Hes fine trust me, my dog always takes his treat and then goes and buries it in the same spot in the backyard but I let him and then later after *dinner* he goes to eat it then. He's fine trust me.

that is way of knowing he and the treat are safe. It is like going to a neutral corner for a fight...It is only weird if brings it back!
