do you think chinese tanks are good?

Well, if you know of the M4 sherman Medium tank, you know it didn't make history or anything. It wasn't a bad tank, but it wasn't the best. That is what the Chinese type 98 and type 99 are. They are nothing great but average tanks.

In term of technical specifications, the western tanks are better currently. However, their tanks are built to meet their terrains and tactics. Do you think the PLA will be so senseless to fight an armour battle, just like in Iraq, without other support arms? Can the western nations take high casualty? Say 1 tank destroyed against the Chinese 2, 1 troop against the chinese 3 .......The Chinese too have mass-killing weapons, may be primitive but effective enough to do the assigned job!

I think that the Chinese made some gtreat leap in tank warfare.

They are copies of Soviet T-72 & T-80 tanks which haven't done too well against western models.

american tanks have better technology than the Chinese tanks , however , american troops have a tendency using the wrong maps and firing at their friends......>>> friendly fire.

despite the publicities we hear about china's rising defense spendings...most of equipment in their armories are sub-standard in quality, copy-cat of inferior russian models...technically the small island of taiwan has more complex military hardwares purchased from the US...also, i feel that the obsolete abram tanks of US are much superior that the new one they have right now.

Knockoffs of Soviet models....most of the products sold in the USA are MADE IN CHINA....you decide which is better
