They like to dit, sleep and when there up to it, go for a walk, but thats it, no tricks, notta, nothing. :-(

I have 2 labs and they love the water. Take them somewhere to swim.

If they're elderly, then that will be about it.
If they young adult-adult, they just have to get used to it. Like humans. If you're out of shape, you're not going to run a marathon 2 days later. Start off small. Vary the activities. Keep them guessing.
Are they fat? Search on the web for healthy weight for labs and goldens or just ask your vet. They may need diet food.

Take your dog for a walk each day so he gets the hang of it. Try to play with your dog, like buy some toys and tug-of-war ropes. If there is another dog in the house, then you can make them both active by playing with toys with eachother.

My dog is hyper so I can teach her how to jump threw hoops. If you have a hoola hoop and some treats they might listen. You shoul hold your treat at the other end of the hoop and see if they jump through the hoop. If they make it though the hoop raise it higher. I hope it works.
