Nosebleeds can be cause by a number of things from blowing your nose too forcefully to an injury of some kind to medical problems. The lack of humidity, too much asprin and many foods can cause an outbreak of nosebleeds. To be safe, see your doctor, especially if these attacks came on suddenly with no history of them. Good luck.

lots of things can. Thin capillaries burst in the nose causing bleeds. this can be exaggerated by dry air, illness, allergies, altitude change, living at high altitude, living near the sea, barometric pressure change, etc...
It's change of season too and that can also cause bleeds.
A Dr. could rule out allergies and the common cold fairly easily but probably won't do too many tests unless you show other signs such as unexplained weight loss etc...
If you drink allot or take a lot of ibuprofen, ketoprophen, or other NSAIDS than you could have thinned blood. High blood pressure would do it too. A simple physical and blood test can rule these things out. I will assume you don't snort drugs here since they will also cause nose bleeds.

Nosebleeds can be caused by anything from headcolds to high blood pressure.
If you're not experiencing a headcold and you have frequent nosebleeds [i.e., everyday] it might be wise that you see your primary care right away.

They are sometimes caused by high blood pressure. They can also be caused by too dry conditions or lack of humidity in your home. Also, I used to be really susceptible to nose bleeds, and I found it really helped to coat the inside of my nostrils with a little bit of vaseline before I went to bed so they didn't dry out so much.

Yes, I used to get a lot of nose bleeds when I drank heavily(alcoholically) in my youthful years. I think it signifies a raised blood pressure so I would consult your doc if I were you.
Cheers!

nose bleeds are a release for pressure building up to stop you getting headaches, or you could have a infection, or you might need a vein cauterised, best seeing your doc though, my son gets them regular and i'm hoping he grows out of them the same way i did.
