I don't have a ton of money, but I certainly don't have a heart breaking story like those on extreme makeover - home edition. I'd love to have one of those shows (like PBSs 'this old house') redo my house.
How can I make that happen?

Remodeling a whole house isn't cheap, even when you get it done on TV. You MAY find one of the "one room" remodel shows to help you out. I have heard (read) of horror stories when This Old House did the jobs. One major complaint was being over budget. Another was the finding of conditions that required extensive work to be done before the remodel.

well if you live in montana that might happen, have you noticed that this old house, they are always wearing jackets in the snow, on design on a dime they are always in frisco, a good suggestion would be to write to hgtv and explain that you love the show although they are never in your town, hey its worth a shot good luck
