Beauty supply stores, have all sizes of irons, chose one that will make the size curl that you want. on all irons, test the iron first, start with the low setting, before you go to the to high heat so that you don't burn you hair and cause spit ends.

Sounds like you have beauiful hair to begin with but we are never satisfied with what we have. I've heard of twisting small sections of hair while it is damp, around peices of cloth before going to bed(you might have to practice a few times to get this just right). Also, there are these things that you can find a beauty supply stores or even places like Wal-Mart, they are long, skinny, spongy hair rollers...but they look like tubes...about three or four inches long. You could even use these at night and sometimes you can find the ones that heat up. When I worked for this company that took glamour pictures, I used these alot and most people loved the tight ringlets they produced..they are quicker and they don't get super hot, but I would still reccomend using a product that protects your hair from damage that comes with using heated styling appliances. Another option that comes to mind is getting a skinny curling iron(I know, that doesn't sound very professional) lol, but there are so many diff. sizes and if you want the ringlets try the smaller ones and wrap your hair sideways..like hold the iron up and down and spiral your hair around it...I'm sure you know what I'm talking about. The only other option is to get a perm. I don't know if this is something you would consider, but there are some better ones out now that don't damage as much as the ones that were available years ago. Whatever you choose to do, I hope it turns out great for you! I envy you for having hair long enough to do this as I cut mine short and am growing(trying) it back out and it's just awful! good luck!

I twist my daughters hair. Take each section and keep twisting it tight. You'll find that it will coil against your head. Tie it up and leave overnight. You'll get lots of lovely ringlets in the morning. Don't use setting lotion.
