if u really want to leave ur b/f, then why bother if he's hurt or not.
girl u have to be careful. u have to tell himthat u are sorry but the whole thing isnt working out right. u guys just have to quite the dating scene and just stay apart. being friends wont be bad but its just time to split.
if he loves u, be ready to be pleaded with. he will certainly hurt both of u.but if u really want it then the hurt will not count.

Plain and simple, tell the truth. Why continue something if you don't feel that way? So you don't hurt somebody? It will only hurt more the longer you wait. Why deny yourself happiness either? Isn't that what life is about, you making sure you are happy too and not being the giver all the time?
The best way to put it without hurting someone you still care about and wish to talk to in the future is to tell them you feel weird in the relationship because you feel more like a brother to me than a boyfriend. That let's them down a little but it keeps them from feeling like they haven't done anything wrong and give them a self esteem problem.

If he loves you then it's going to hurt no matter how you approach the situation. I'd be straight forward with him and tell him that it's not going to work and the reason why you think it's not going to work. Don't cave in if he cries! If you don't want to be with him (for whatever reason) then don't be with him. It's okay to have a heart and feel bad for people but not at the expense of your happiness.

Ok, if you don't want to be with him, it's gona hurt one way or another, if it's not you telling him, if he finds out from someone else, that could only make the situation worse, and don't email or txt message or send him a note saying that, trust me, been there, done that, it's better to say it face to face and just tell him the truth, there will be more respect that way, if he doesn't respect your feelings then he doesn't respect the relationship in the first place. He will hurt, how much will depend on how much he truely loved you in the first place.

You can't get rid of him without hurting him. Why do you want to get rid of him is what you have to ask yourself, then you should be honest. You can never go wrong with the truth, if you aren't honest you'll just hurt him more.

Why are you getting rid of him? How long have you been together? Think about why your dumping him, are you just being a flake, did you meet another guy, or what. If your leaving him for someone else consider how you would feel if it happened to you.

You tell him today..you owe him that much. You be honest but not too honest..don't give the details..and I KNOW there is some....(I'd bet another guy..) anyhoo you tell him you do not think you and him will make it for the long run. That you two are not compatable. That you are not happy and he isn't either. Keep it short and sweet and do not tell him the real reason.

Just go be like, 'hey, I really think we oughtta stop, you know seeing each other. I think we gotta go out there and date other people. I really like you and all, but, like I said, we must go out there and start dating different people. That OK with you?'
If he says no, just dont care and go your way anyways.
If he's done something to upset you, then tell him that he's done that and you didn't like it. Maybe you'll change your mind and give him another chance.
