I would say Scotland then Wales and then Ireland Wales is often overlooked but has some great places and fantastic sandy beaches.

wow I have been to both and both are absolutely beautiful - Scotland has fantastic mountain ranges so I would go there first and then onto Ireland to relax. I lived in Ireland for 5 years and loved it but I went to Scotland 2 years ago and I took my breath away - can't wait to go back for some more
EDIT: I live in Wales and the answers above are both spot on - we do get overlooked and the scenery here is beautiful

Ireland first; the West & Southwest are beautiful. Then head to the Scottish Highlands & be sure to stop by Eileen Doonan castle, which is still a remarkably peaceful spot considering it has been photographed so much.
The people are great in both countries, too. Have a great trip !

Visit Bonnie Scotland, the scenery is breath-taking, vist Royal Deeside and the Highlands, so much to see you won't be disappointed, very rugged and natural unspoilt views.

Which outdoor activities? What time of year? You can't go wrong with either, personally I'd see Ireland first.

I would make a committment to Ireland, because you will always put off going, as it is easier to travel to Scotland. Both places are lovely, and would not like to choose between them.

This is a hard one. I've been to both places and would love to retire there soon, but which one?
Scotland for scenery, walks, people, food, wildlife, history & Whiskey.
Ireland for people, food, scenery, walks, wildlife, history & Guinness.

its a great place to visit with castles and medievil type stuff but the locals are great.
Ireland is a sort of leaving this area sort of place to go its very nice, ive been there but you just wouldnt want to go there before other places in the area.
