He wouldn't stray, he'll be calmer, not as aggresive,
and there have been studies that have shown that male dogs that are neutered don't get "male dog issues/cancer" if you catch my drift.

I believe it is absolutely The BEST thing for any dog
+++ you won't have b i t c h e s knocking on your door saying they are pregnant and he's the father LOL (sorry I had to)

It is not the question of if it is healthy or not - that really doesn't come into play. I have had several dogs - all males , some of them I had neutered and some not. The reason I chose to neuter the ones I did is 2 of them were outside dogs, and I didn't want to take the chance of them getting loose and impregnating another female dog that is in heat. The one inside dog I neutered, was because @ 5 weeks old he was humping everything he could get ahold of, and we knew it was going to be a problem for him....although, after we had him neutered he packed on a bunch of weight - this is a common thing to happen - for cockers. So it just really all depends on why you are wanting to get this done. If you dog is not a humper and he is inside, then I would say don't do it. Hope this helps. :)

I can't believe there are people answering "no" to this answer! Yes, yes, yes!! If you are not planning on breeding there should be no question about it! No second guessing, no thought about it at all really. All the aforementioned reasons about why you SHOULD get your dog neutered are all true! Not only is it healthier for your dog... Think about all the possible unhealthy litters of unwanted puppies you would be saving. If you care for your dog's health and others, neutering is the ONLY way to go!

Neutering a dog has many benifits, it can create less agression in the dog, making it a less of a hazard to you and others. The decreased hormoes in the dog will also stop it from running wild e.g. digging holes, running on the street, escaping etc. Neutering can also reduce its risk of some diseases such as cancer. Dogs do not have a sense of sexuality so the dog will not feel like "less of a male" if you do decide to neuter it. The whole procedure takes less than 20 minutes and the dog and you will be much happier. ps if you are deciding to neuter your dog, remeber it is irreversible!

that really depends on you, when you give your dog baths if he is not neutered be sure to wash his...area...also keep an eye on him to make sure he isn't licking there excessively, this can lead to what my vet called hot spots, which is kinda like a rash that is very hard to treat (stomping or clapping your hands should distract the dog to stop him from licking) but unless you are planning to breed the dog with a female it would probably be a better idea to have him neutered that way a- you know no puppies will be made on mistake, and b- he will not be licking there as much or try to defile anyone's leg

Unless he's a show dog then yes absolutely it's better for him to be neutered.

There are behavioural and medical benefits to neutering, see here:

I think there should be a neuter class in shows for those who don't want entires, like there is in the cat shows.

It will prevent him from getting testicular cancer. I cried when I had my dog done, but I'm so glad that I got him done. He was 3 years old before I did it, but he hasn't changed one bit....some people say they get lazy and fat....Not the case here. He's seems to be happier...He's not sexually frustrated. I have a male Rottweiler. I never bred him (there are enough unwanted dogs at shelters without adding more puppies to the world). Now I don't have to watch him like a hawk when he's playing with female dogs.... LOL

No,it's not. Would neutering you make you feel better? It's the same with dogs. I've seen neutered dogs and they are not as lively or happy as before. They look depressed. Think very carefully before doing anything.
