Waterford has always been considered the better crystal. Tiffany's is just more expensive and of course you have the label "Tiffany" which is what you are paying the extra for.

Hmm good question. My Mom & Sister (who is wealthy) have always had Waterford. I got some from my Mom many years ago but was too young to appreciat it, and know it's value. Now..... I like it. I like Tiffany though because it's more modern and sleek look. But I guess in general Waterford considered better?

Down south, it's Waterford crystal or nothing.....Tiffany is a line of jewelry for us......

I'd definitely go with Waterford. It's good crystal. I have several pieces that have all lasted over 16 years now. Good investment. (And they're pretty.)
