I was going to give a flippant answer, but your question deserves a serious response.
Had Mary chosen to abort the child, we would not have a Savior. It is my opinion that God would have so been offended with this earth, that He would simply have decided to let it proceed without His blessings.
I believe that there would then have unfolded an horrific history of darkness and loss, followed by a period of enlightenment. Mankind would eventually come to certain logically correct assumptions by trial and error, and a system of mass production would result in prosperity within the countries that adopted this economy.
Eventually, an Internet type of infrastructure would come into being, and the question you have posed would likely be asked, by someone.
This is just my opinion. Thankfully, Mary had the child, raised it with nurturing and love, and He became our Savior.
May I kindly suggest you read His words, even for a few minutes, as found in the book of Matthew, to see what He taught?
He told us of a time such as this day, and warned that when He returned, many would lose eternal life, due to unbelief.
Perhaps your question and this humble answer will serve to cause some worthwhile action on the part of at least one reader today.
