Strangely enough, I feel safe. And it isn't that I have led a very protected life devoid of sorrow or danger.

It just comes down to this: over and over again life has shown me that the Universe is ultimately kind. Just when you are about to give up, it picks you up, puts you back on your feet and gives you a pat on the back.

So yes, life is a safe place for me.

Yes. It is a safe place. It's changing all the time, the latest being the climate change, but it's a good forum for learning, and where I am, we get no snow and no tropical cyclones (or hurricanes, if you like). Bushfires I can keep back from our house, so I'm OK.
As far as wars, pollution and stuff are concerned, we're a long way from any wars in my part of Oz, and as our weather generally comes straight off the Southern Ocean, it doesn't come any cleaner than that.
How about you?

No, but it is where I am.....on this planet.....so I am constantly working and helping to make it safer.
There is a lot more at stake than just my personal safety.

Man is ulitmately his own worst enemy and a great man once said that the thing to fear most is fear itself.

Also the idea of a dangerous environment is largely created by a few through the media, to interiorize and immobilize the many.

Just stop reading the news papers and watching the news on TV for a couple of weeks and see if you feel a bit better about things.

No, not at all. there are wars, diseases, accidents, murders. I could get knocked down by a car tomorrow. A comet could hit the earth, and there's nothing we could do to stop it. The world is extremely dangerous.

It doesn't matter. Greater is he that is in me, than he that is in the world.
