the person must see things like you do, or do you take into account that maybe they view the world in a differnt way. I posted a quote from the Tao Te Ching and the Christians did not get it. They couldn't see it for what it was trying to say. So, your mindset is one way. Personally, I saw it more truthful than anything I have seen in the Bible. Do you think maybe people just have different brains, opinions, and maybe aren't going to see the world from your point of view? Tell me what you are thinking when you are trying to convert?

Nobody is trying to convert me right now. I was just asking a question. That's the other thing. You guys look too much into my questions sometimes.

I do respect your belief, and as for myself its not a matter of trying to convert anyone but i live on a world that everyone dies in, this world is one big open grave, it says John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
Jesus is the ONLY Way out of this grave i am in so excuse me if i am VERY much involved in "converting" folks so they will live and not die, "IF" you will but investagate the claims of The Holy Bible to be "THE" inspired Word of God you to may be "converted" free bible lessons www.amazingfacts.org OR www..itiswritten.com God bless talk to me also wgr88@yahoo.com

Personally, as a christian it is my belief that I should and will spread the world of Christ. However, I do not get offended when others don't want to hear it, or they disagree with it. That is their right. I personally hold the belief that there are many people and many different choices of religion. I don't know that anyone is greater than the other. Whatever works for you is fine with me. However as with any religion, you will always find those who believe that their way is the best and only true way. When dealing with religion you will find more people with ethnocentric attitudes than you will regarding any other subject. Live and let live. God bless****

Christians and muslims come from an extension of roman imperialism, the roman empire died out, although the perspective of "grow to be one people or go through" survived by using catholicism. Pagan, Jewish, Hindu and Buddhist suggestions hardly have any relation to imperialist ideologies aside from Hellenism and Wicca, Hellenism being the two roman or greek paganism in many cases cases do have that attitude, Wicca being a reactionary faith is in protest to what a lot of people see as incorrect or risky interior of christianity.

The conversion must come from the heart, and not the mind. the mind and brain allow you to read the Bible, which by the way is the infallible word of God. The Holy Spirit then convicts you of your sins, then you must ask God to forgive your sins. Then you can study the word of God and make good and justified decisions. If you try to lay out your own road way through life on your own, it will always fail.

The Christians thought that their religion is the only true religion of the world. This is because they were indoctrinated by their preachers that way, and they were also told by their preachers or pastors that all the other religions are false and the book of other religions are from the devil.

"I" don't convert people, life does.
When people see some things as beautiful,
other things become ugly.
When people see some things as good,
other things become bad.
Being and non-being create each other.
Difficult and easy support each other.
Long and short define each other.
High and low depend on each other.
Before and after follow each other.
Therefore the Master
acts without doing anything
and teaches without saying anything.
Things arise and she lets them come;
things disappear and she lets them go.
She has but doesn't possess,
acts but doesn't expect.
When her work is done, she forgets it.
That is why it lasts forever.

Christians can't convert anyone. Christians can only tell you what they believe. If you feel like someone is attempting to convert you, that's because you are rejecting Christ.
Sadbuttrue.
