Why is there a constant barrage of news coverage for eating healthy? This not rocket science. I learned the five food group in 4th grade, and nothing much has changed since learning them. If you over eat---you get fat.
If you don't eat enough of one of the food groups, you are not meeting nutritional requirements. If you eat fake food, like fast foods, sodas, candy chips and so on...you have heart problems, or whatever. it is so simple. Why do people need to be educated every day about when they are adults? Am I the only one who remembers Health class training?

From what I interpret from the news, this is just their way of scaring you. They want you to feel fat and overweight so that they can push weight loss books on you(although the newscasters themselves may not be pushing the books, there will propably be someone else on that channel doing that). It is in essence a way to control people. You make them feel bad about themselves and then you can force feed them information and they will believe it because they no longer feel confident in them-selves.

We as American's have been conditioned to eat certain foods. We are bombarded daily with commercials for foods that are not healthy. It's also a matter of taste, when some people were younger they fell into the trap of eating the wrong types of foods. Their taste buds became conditioned to the flavors of these foods. Certain foods like chocolate for example stimulate the brain causing us to crave it. Learning to eat correctly is more than just knowing what is good for you. It is also changing your tastes. Since we are creatures of habit and we are continually shown advertising for foods that are not all that good for us, we need information to counter all that advertising.

No, to remain healthy it depends on other things such as how particular you are about eating and what type of food. If you are tension free, you can be more healthy but if simply you eat and do not burn calories then fat is going to make home in your body. Gradually fatness shall appear and this creates problems and giving birth to several diseases.
