Other than the most common benefit of trees giving off oxygen and absorbing CO2. . .and the effect on nature and rainfall
They serve to control erosion, stabilize water table, protect other fauna and flora, control the temperature, supply of raw material and definitely has something to do with the mood and behavior of its inhabitants

I believe that forests are an essential part of the ecology of most nations.
Trees provide oxygen and help other plants and animals to thrive.
There are lots of new schemes which help people to integrate trees and woodland into agriculture, for a more sustainnable future.
Here in the UK we had stripped out all but about 15% of the native trees even by 1000AD. Now we are trying to put some back - the Caledonian forest, for example.
It is in the long term interests of humans to look after trees as a vital part of the environment.

with out trees there bee no wooden houses, and structures and with out wood there be no paper ok so no paper for school children to write on and means no bills sent to us yah
