Because, you are trying to show your crush that you are letting your guard down when you are around him. By putting yourself in a vulnerable position (tell embarrassing stories about yourself) you are inviting him in.

well.. it's a good thing or not depends on whether he appreciates it or not? but eh well.. i'd suggest for u to kinda tone down a little.. sometimes pple react in such a way tat u can get attention from e person u wanted to give u their attention, regardless of whether it's positive or negative. which is kinda wrong isnt it? i'd suggest for u, maybe to give urself a way to ask him about his life, like does he has any interesting stories to share as well. remember, it's all about giving and taking.
