At what point would I know its a waste of time, and I should cancel the account?

I'm on a few dating sites for 2 years or more now. I am very picky..I used to go on one to three dates a week at night...some were too touchy feely so I only went on day dates...during that and the night dates I found alot of them to be liars or players...so then I e-mailed them first and asked alot of questions before I agreed to meet them but many times I didn't meet them due to their answers..I didn't like their answers so I knew they were not for me...now I go to this one dating site parties and meet men. It is called Plentyoffish.com. Once a month they have parties. I love it and I made alot of friends but no one I have dated yet but I got out, danced, played pool and had a blast! So there is no time limit on finding the right person for you..men seem to be in a hurry when women want to take their time and try to be sure..well as sure as you can be. Try that the parties..collect phone numbers there.

if you are absolutely sure that you are on a good internet dating site, i would say that you would start meeting worthwhile people pretty quickly. of course, there would be the question of compatibility, but this could be resolved via profiling or simply personally meeting the people you find.
if you're a guy, i would recommend going on several dates before deciding whether it would be worthwhile to keep the account. if you're a girl, go on the dates with caution, preferably doing so in a group. i do believe that if there is someone meant for you, you will meet this person, whether it is via an internet site or bumping into him/her while walking down the street. so keep yourself open to the possibilities, and i am sure you will find someone.

This is really hard to answer since there are new people joining internet sites everyday. So if you haven't met your "true love" yet, it could be just around the corner. I dated different people for 10 years. Some were people I met through friends, work etc... but some were people that I met from the internet. I think I met 30 people or so before I met my current boyfriend. I met him on Match.com. People kept telling me that I had to stop looking. One day when I was looking at others, and had really given up, he emailed me. So I would say, find a site you trust. Continue to look in your community and just be patient. You will meet someone when it is meant to be.

Well it all depends , when you feel comortable and have gotten enough information that the person is who they say they are then you should meet them in a public place . After hooking up with someone where you think that you would be content you can go ahead and cancel your account . Good Luck !

you can meet them right away but maybe not in person,this will take some time,unless of course she is from your own home town.
