Ok, I do know this, use nail varnish remover and cotton wool, or pads. I used to clean in an office and they were always doing it.

Use Goo Gone - a product made to remove sticky stuff. Find it in the cleaning aisle at the grocery or target, etc.

Use a scraper to get most of it off then lighter fuel or similar should shift the sticky bits.

you need a decorators scrapper that you put a "Stanley" blade in (about £1) use vinegar on the sticky and scrape off

I have always used lighter fluid, the type you fill ZIPPO lighters with. You can just wipe it all away with tissue afterwards.

try some straight vinegar, then gently scrape it off, then wash as normal, this should work

eucalyptus oil works great on anything sticky
