Native English speakers often don't realize how hard English grammar really is (especially in comparison to other languages).
And understanding it well is absolutely crucial to good english ^^!
It is quite possibly more important than good pronunciation (even though pronunciation is still very important).
But still, it is very possible to learn English well ^^.
Watch English language television programs and read english language books ^^.
However, I don't recommend that you read any advanced novels yet unless your English reading comprehension is quite good, because they tend to be written in indirect ways that aren't commonly used in everyday speech or writing.
I recommend reading comic books and and other types of graphic novels (like Manga), because they are usually written in a less complicated style and have many written conversations as well.
Also, making English speaking friends will help, too.

Watch english speaking television and speak english as much as possible with people. Don't worry about making mistakes. I so appreciate people like you who want to learn the language well while with us. That is what I did when I worked in Puerto Rico where I spoke Spanish

The only way to learn well is to speak with alot of native english speakers. That way you get the nuancese, and the acurate use of the words.
