I would definitely start with Novell's information to get on the right track.

CLP info http://www.novell.com/training/certinfo/clp/
CLP learning track http://www.novell.com/training/certinfo/clp/inc/CLP10learningpath.pdf
Self Study bundle (pricey at almost $900) http://shop.novell.com/servlet/ControllerServlet;jsessionid=3a82f5c941c34e3da4fc99e7d2c3ebbf?Action=DisplayPage&Locale=en_US&SiteID=novell&id=ProductDetailsPage&productID=42778100
Downloads for SuSe linux (server and desktop) http://download.novell.com/index.jsp?sourceidint=hdr_download
(Novell's download will probably be time limited)

Here's OpenSuse for a totally free, unrestricted copy,
http://en.opensuse.org/Welcome_to_openSUSE.org

From there, I would recommend reviewing the objectives and outlines of each course on Novell's CLP site http://www.novell.com/training/certinfo/clp/

Each of the course listings on the starting page include additional details for objectives and course outlines,

3070 - Upgrading to Certified Linux Professional 10 http://www.novell.com/training/courseware/ts_proj_info.jsp?pid=13602
3071 - SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 10 Fundamentals http://www.novell.com/training/courseware/ts_proj_info.jsp?pid=13599
3072 - SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 10 Administration http://www.novell.com/training/courseware/ts_proj_info.jsp?pid=13600
3073 - SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 10 Advanced Administration http://www.novell.com/training/courseware/ts_proj_info.jsp?pid=13601

When I was earning my CNE/MCNE's for various versions of NetWare, I had the most success by learning the objectives, practicing hands on with the OS, then reviewing the actual admin and user manuals.

Best wishes.
