there are lots of things...take your dog for walks..buy him new toys, he might not be very active because of his wieght? or sometimes even the breed of dog is lazy.. but thats quite unusual could be his character...try and excite his life diffrent diet, a doggie freind pherhaps.

Depending on his age think about taking up a dog sport such as obedience or agility. Have a look on the Kennel Club Website at the section titled - activities for dogs. Dogs love it! Make sure he is medically sound though before trying anything new (including longer walks)

It depends on the breed as to how active they are. He may get all the exercise/attention that he needs. But if you dont think so just make everything that little bit more fun for him buy lotsa toys/treats and the main thing of all that they love is their owner so bond as much as possible.

Join a club or like my dogs let them out of the car and get on my bike so as to give them a run

You don't give us much info here. Has he been more active in the past? If this inactivity is not due to ageing, it could be a medical condition is causing it. It might be worth a chat with your vet.

find him a cute female to through what is got blocked inside if u can't find one,just eleviate ur clothes,bow down and let him activate his muscles on u.it would be great for both of u

Get out in the yard and play ball or wrestle with him or just take him for long walks. Hope this helps ;-)

hi i have recently brought my staffie a bordom treat ball which i have found him to run around with whilst you are not in also dogs seem to love to catch bubbles. so you could try these. good luck.
