Ok, I have REALLY sensitive skin, and in shower gels and soaps I tend to have a bad skin reaction to the alkalinity especially if it is too intense and I have an allergic reaction to parfum. The allergic reactions are generally dry skin which comes up as something like eczema, or dermatitis. Now, I currently use, Sanex dermo Sensitive shower cream which makes my skin feel great. However, I’m not too keen on the fragrance anymore. I want something that does the same job as this version of sanex but I want a fruity, alive and sweet fragrance. Does anybody know what I can use?
Thanks for all your advice and tips and for sensible answers!
:-)

my daughter has psoriasis and eczema, my son and I just have eczema. i have found that the only shower gel and soap that does not aggrovate our skin is dove. they do a really nice selection of shower gels, but the basic one works the best, has a pleasant scent but has reduced alkalinity.
give it a go, though i know how frustrated it gets trying to find one that suits your own skin =P

Hi my daughter has really bad eczema and all she can use is a soap from Boots its a black soap made from mud and properties from the dead sea, its fragrance free but it is the only soap that we have found that agrees with her and does not irritate her. I don't remember the name of it though i just look for it.Its in a blue box with a ocean scene on it and its around £3-50, its very good and does not dry the skin.

I am sorry but if your skin is that sensitive you cannot use scented shower cream or gel without paying the consequences. Simple soap, Sanex, Carex, possibly dove?? Have you tried bio oil?

use a shower gel from lush. they all use natural products so there is no nasty chemicals to cause problems with your skin and depending on what fragrances you like they do a decent range. I have all of them and use them depending on my mood but so far not one of them has irritated my skin.
If you want a fruity fragrance try happy hippy, it smells like grapefruits, they even do one that smells like chocolate!
hope this helps. xxx

avoid the commercial shower gels/sopas as they contaion harsh ingredients. go for the ones without sodium lauret sulphate & chemical ingredients which are availbale from health shops or online.
Lavera are supposed to be very good, their products are organic & they do a neutral range for very sensitive skin:

PS> you can also write to them to send you samples before you buy
otherwise you can try Living Nature, Jason (available from health shops).
