what does it mean when you ask a guy whether he likes a girl after being told that she likes him, he says 'i really don't know?'
he compliments her and always says hey to her with a big smile and a how are you
could it mean that he really doesn't know or he does like her but just doesn't want to admit it?

Maybe he doesn't want to feel pressured into a situation with a girl he was just told likes him.
Compliments, big smile could mean he's just a friendly, outgoing guy.
Could be a lot of things..

Its good to be honest. Usually its the other way round, guys think they love, and actually they dont. When it comes to not knowing if he likes her or not, thats a true answer i suppose. If she already spoke up her feelings, why would he be afraid to tell her back the same stuff if he feels it. That doesnt make sense.

it meens he does not like the girl. in fact he doesn 't even want to bang the chick. if a man likes or just wants to bang a chick he will say yes. however, if he is like me. then no he does not like the girl. you see if a girl has to ask me if i like her then she is obviously to insecure and obviously not intelligent enough to understand whats happening around her, and i'd never be with another chick that does not have confidence in herself or can not hang with me on an intellectual level.
