Well they of course would have to make it a green event so as to answer those complaints of it's waste and pollution.

If the objective was to I 'convert' deneirs then I don't really think it would do any good, everybody is aware of global warming and it's only a small minority of individuals that refuse to accept it.

There isn't a government or major oil company left in the world that doesn't accept global warming, and the CEO's of the worlds 1000 largest corporations unilaterally decleared that global warming was "the most critical problem facing humanity" http://www.sierraclub.org/sierra/200105/globalwarm.asp

Two years ago 90% of the world's population viewed global warming as a 'serious problem' and that number has been growing since. http://www.worldpublicopinion.org/pipa/articles/btenvironmentra/187.php?nid=&id=&pnt=187

It's likely that today only about 6% of individuals and far fewer organisations are prepared to deny global warming. Despite the fact that they make a lot of noise there aren't really many people who still dispute global warming.

In this respect an awareness tour would be preaching to those who stubbornly refuse to accept global warming. Presented with overwhelming and irrefutable evidence they are prepared to dismiss it out of hand and rely instead on their own 'evidence'. I don't think a few songs or speeches would make that much difference.

If the objective of the tour were more educational, aimed at informing people about the causes, effects, consequences and remedies of global warming then this could help raise awareness.

I'm sorry to have to say this but the only country which really needs educating on global warming issues is the US where as many as 1 in 5 people don't consider global warming a serious issue. Perhaps this is because the Bush Administration, until recently, followed a policy of playing down the effects of global warming.

Purely from a fun point of view a huge concert would be a good idea, whatever the reasons behind it were.

there cannot be enough positive publicity and public support to help our Environment on all levels

this is our only home and we should all be concerned and behave correctly about taking care of it

there are many things that are wrong today
and many of those contribute to climate change
nobody in his right mind wants his kids to end up with a dessert planet like Arakis from the saga of Dune .or a real dead Planet like Mars

and its a good reason as any to have a great Party

needless to say the objective is to advance funds and publicize their reason. concert activities can generate somewhat a lot of money and exposure. concert activities provide those with comparable values a possibility to communicate and replace innovations. income concert activities are often held for humanitarian motives. Conservatives as nicely as liberals help humanitarian motives. Liberals are no longer the only people who take area in charity or humanitarian paintings.
