I've been in Malaysia for about 9 days now, and so far, I don't know what food to eat. Can anybody help me out here? I want to know what are the names of the best Malaysian dishes so that I can try them. Thank you in advance. God Bless you all

Wow...Thank you so much Girls and Guys. Now I know a lot more about food here. To be honest with you, I was clueless. I will try all the dishes that you suggested, I think 3 years is enough time to do that. Thank again :)

1st of all, there are 2 different types of food available in Malaysia which are Halal and non-Halal.

if you are Muslim, i will suggest you to try the 3 most best dishes as below;
1) Satay - according to my opinion, the most famous Satay in whole Malaysia is available only in Kajang because they serve variety type of Satay meats (chicken, beef, lamb, deer, and others)and excellent sauce. the restaurant my friends and i visited was just near to football field of town center(MPKJ).
2) Hainanese Chicken rice - The Chicken Rice Shop serves Halal and most similar taste of original Hainanese style chicken rice. The restaurant can be found in Midvalley Megamall, One Utama, Berjaya Times Square, The Mines, Sunway Piramid, Alamanda Putrajaya, and other shopping complexs.
3) Nasi Kandar - the banana leaf rice with variety curries and side dishes that represent India culture in Malaysia. there are several restaurants opposite of Pudu inter-city bus station serve the dish.

i am non-Muslim and i can consume Halal and non-Halal foods. if you are non-Muslim, i will have tough time to choose 3 best dishes only. i had non-Muslim friends came to Malaysia to travel for 2 weeks time. they asked me to recommend a list of food to taste during their trip because i would unable to be their tour guide. i listed out more than 20 foods for them at the end of day, including Asam Laksa, Char Kway Teow, Claypot rice, Bah Kut Teh, Pan Noodle, Wantan Noodle, Prawn Noodle, Tom Yam, Cendol, Ais Kacang, Rojak, Popiah, Roti Naan, Thosai, Nasi Lemak, Maggi Goreng, Teh Tarik, and foods mention above.

Malaysia offers too many variety type of interesting and delicious foods which some are available for 24 hours a day. i lose weight when i am in oversea.

that's a mixture of issues--quite often this is too little workout (because of too plenty convenience of "non-actual" activities and interests, loss of ideal social places TO get workout like parks and sidewalks, and so on.) and having nutrition thank you to handy. Plus we are continuously uncovered to it---billboards, television/Radio, eating place classified ads, in line at examine-out counters, merchandising machines, on line. in case you're continuously uncovered to it, you would be continuously thinking approximately it. And the extra you think of roughly something, the extra you will tend to have interaction in besides the fact that that's you're thinking approximately--nutrition, activities, television, and so on.. i for my area hate that area of usa. we are so extreme; this is the two those "well-being-nuts" who're prepared approximately monitoring each and every thing or those people who do not understand or do not care and are prepared approximately ingesting each and every thing. Then there are human beings like me, who grew up around the two varieties of persons, and now I have no thought myself extremely the thank you to attend to issues like nutrition and for this reason conflict plenty. i understand what's healthful and robust, and a good form of the time i can save on with it, yet now and lower back seeing classified ads for a outstanding chocolate cake or somebody else ingesting it, I start to think of, "i've got been extremely healthful at present. and that i've got been putting a good form of time into college. Plus I merely aced that huge examination... in step with hazard I deserve it." and then that piece of chocolate cake will replace into 2 products, and growth I (somebody who eats fruit & oatmeal for breakfast and salads for dinner, and runs 6 miles various cases each and every week plus potential trains) merely become between the lazy individuals. that's a curler coaster. and that i might extremely opt to get off.
