Generally speaking the British breakfast is much bigger than in most other countries. Many people like to have a fried breakfast which can consist of fried bacon and eggs with fried bread and possibly fried tomatoes or black pudding. Of course not everybody wants to eat a lot early in the morning and many people prefer to just eat toast and marmalade with tea or coffee. Cereals are also very popular. The most common is cornflakes. They are made with different grains such as corn, wheat, oats etc. If you go to a British supermarket you will see that there are many types of cereals available. In Scotland many people eat "porridge" or boiled oats. Porridge is very heavy but in the winter it will keep you warm on your way to school.

Sundays are reserved for their big cooked breakfast.

Start with cereal, probably Cornflakes, then Pork Sausages, Bacon (Back and Streaky), Fried Eggs, Mushrooms, Hash Browns, Kidneys, Black Pudding, Grilled Tomatoes, Baked Beans, Fried Bread.
Perhaps some Kedgeree to follow.
And lots and lots of Tea (with milk).

No more than 5 days a week though.

well to be honest most people just have toast or cereal but whenever my boyfriend has a full English breakfast he has:

-2 slices of toast
-2 sausages
-fried egg
-mushrooms
-bacon
-baked beans
-2 hash browns
-chips

it's a bit of a mission to eat and especially to cook!!!

I used to plumb up on english breakfast;
typically orange juice; corn flakes with hot/cold milk; bacon/bangers, baked beans & fried eggs; buttered toast; english tea - what a way to start the day!

A proper English Breakfast is bacon, mushrooms, beans, sausages and everything liek that.

But Englsih people don't usually have this everyday. We have things like cereal, toast, friut, yogurts - stuff like that.

By choice however, I would like a full English most days. ;)

The "full English" you see on menus is usually fried egg, bacon, sausage, bread, tomatoes etc. Standby for the coronary!
However for "real" English people it can be anything, most often cereal, toast & tea. Today, mine's been a cup of coffee & a cigarette!

we normally have 2 sauages, 2bacon, 1 fried egg, beans, mushrooms, toast, maybe an ashbrown or a black pudding or toamtoes as extras. to be honest it depends what you like! anywhere you go for an english breakfast you can normally choose what you want. but the basics are sausage bacon and egg :) hope this helped! x

My Grandmother when I was a boy in Doncaster used to make me, two slices of toast, with Beans on them, two eggs over the top of that, sliced fried tomatoes, sausage and that awsome thick bacon. Man I loved it. As she used to say, "Its Bloody Lovely" LOL
PS. Have to fry the tomatoes in bacon grease, very important :)
