Hi. Some of us actually do the washing . It's really only a matter of sorting it into whites and coloureds putting it in the machine, add the detergent and softener and press go.When done open . Some on the line if the weather's OK ,the rest in the tumble dryer. Load No. two ditto. Hang some clothes on hangers, the rest in the laundry basket. I've done now because I don't do the ironing but I will put things away in drawers and wardrobes.I can't say I do it Evey time. As a family we wash about 3 times a week and there are times that I have other commitments., but I think I do a fair share especially at weekends.I know my brother also helps his wife with the washing. You could extend your question to include who helps with the washing up,who helps to make the beds, who helps to clean the bathroom, who helps to vacuum the floors, who helps to clean the windows and possibly who helps with the cooking.

I know lots of couples where the guy does all the washing - in fact applies to most of my friends. Thinking about it, was the same with my parents - Mum would cook & Dad would wash up. Don't know why that would be when so many people here have said that men don't do washing...

Supergirl, some men do do the wash. I do. I do it only once a month, but that's coz I have 30 undies, 30 pair of sox, etc...

I'm an efficiency expert, and so, have formulated a system of minimal time use for such.

I rather enjoy the deed, too. I use a stopwatch to see if I can top my personal best at folding!

It's a highlight each month, on the 1st.

YIPIEE!!!!

Hope you have a great day...AND FIND THE ANSWER YOU SEEK.

Errrr, your not quite right there.

My wife is terrible at housework, not only is it impossible to motivate her to do any, she also can't load the dishwasher after ten years, she can't work the washing machine and they only time you would let her Iron is if you wanted 32 creases in your trousers.

I do 75% of it and not because she's lazy but because she works longer hours than me, i'm naturally very tidy and just very good at it.
We have 2 girls who both do a share too, thank god they don't take after mum.

I've been washing and ironing since I was 12. In my house the jobs are shared, there re obviously jobs that I do better and others that she does better (including washing and ironing) but right now she is at work and so I have done the wshing today and probably the ironing later.

Well not all of us are that bad, although I spent 10 years in the Air Force and did all my own washing then. I know guys who used to take thier washing home at weekends and get their mums to to do it !! I live with my brother, who wouldn't know what the washing machine was if you dropped it from a great hieght on his head !! And a good morning to you too !!

I wash dishes, cloths, mop and vacuum in my house. Your question appears to be based only on those around you and there are more males than that. What it has done is presented you with very little evidence and from that you have made a definitive conclusion about males. My suggestion is to observe more male out side your circle to gather more data before any conclusions can be made.

Good morning?? wow, it's only 8pm here!

Am sorry to hear about your man not doing the washing, I do all of mine, but my man will do it for me at the drop of a hat!

Their excuses would be having someone else has being doing it for them all their lives ... they think you can wear the same undies all week and still don't need washing ....or they are more interested in the sports channel!

Men do the washing in exceptional cases. But most men think its a woman thing to do the washing. They just cant imagine themselves washing they prefer ironing. While some are just generally lazy.
