I tried it with another CD first. After the burning process was complete, I inserted the disk again into the drive to see if it had worked. When I double-clicked on the CD-drive icon, it asked me to insert a disk! It treated the CD as if it were never there. HELP ME! I need it badly for my project. Also, if using Nero is not the right way, what is?

The CD-drive also shows '52X max'. Is that supposed to be the maximum speed of the drive? Or is it the only speed the drive runs on? My CD is 1X - 48X compatible.

Nero's bar limit is way beyond 800 MB. The maximum my CD can take is 700 MB

open nero burning rom with the side by side pane interfaces then litterally drag & drop the files you want on the disk. when the bar gets full - hit the burn button.

make an image file of it and burn the image. on nero express go to copy entire disc then you can select the image recorder on the list of burners then save it to anywhere you like then wait. next thing to do is to burn the image, go to image project copy then disc image or saved project then open the image file then burn it using your own burner

it really sounds like you don't have a burner at all. it is a regular cdrom drive.
