The sad part of all of it is that if it was not for the troops now and those troops before, we would all be speaking german right now! But because we are free they can do that. Now there should be laws passed to stop the flag burning and effigy burning. Like others said if you dont like it here, it is easy to cross the border the other way!
Also, there are 50 million more people who can protest freely now 25 each in IRAQ and AFGHANISTAN!!!

I am not offended and I am an honorably discharged US veteran of the USMC and USN. I loved the service but if I was serving now under the war criminal Mr Bush, I would deounce all alliance and stand against it.
If I had been a German soldier in Hitlers army I would have done the same, if I had been a union soldier I would have refused the orders of such generals of renown as W.T. Sherman against both the souths civilians they commited historically verified attrocities against as well as the native americans west of the mississippi river the US armies policy was to genocide the american bison and them together.
I have no offence whatsoever and in fact I am very very glad they are doing so.

It happens and hiding from it is not much help.

I will admit that TV tends to over do it.

Good or bad I am not the one to judge. I am sure some times it is used to insight people as a propaganda ploy.

Just be very glad you are not there having to watch it live and feel the fear it brings. That is when a person begins to really understand.

Although I do detest that behavior and absolutely resent the burning of the flag, it is their right to demonstrate.

I do think that if a soldier is burned in effigy, I should be able to consider that a threat and "defend myself"......

EDIT:

Here is a link to the protest

You are not the only person to be offended by flag burning and freedom of speech. You are not the only person who opposes freedom either.

You join the ranks of Hitler, Saddam and many others in your thoughts of this.
