I would say Thailand, not only do you have one of the most exciting cities (Bangkok), you have the mountains in the north and many, many islands and beaches in the south. But why stop at one country, there are many discount airlines in this area, and you are just an hour or two away from Malaysia, Singapore, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos and even Hong Kong, all these places are unique and fascinating in their own right. Whichever you choose, have fun.

I'd been to most countries in South East Asia, Thailand, Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, the Philipines, Vietnam. But the most friendly of all are the citizens of the islands and the worst is .......

I am from the Philippines and had been in Hongkong for 2x. I would like to explore Singapore on my next trip.
My sister, friends and relatives had been in Singapore and they have many things to share about the place. It is really a small but clean country. Hongkong is definitely following its steps.
Thailand is another place to go but shopping is expensive but food is good.

Are you interested in diverse culture or western?
Do you want antiquity or metropolis?
