I'm gonna agree with brad as this question was only posted to provoke people. I also think alot of people who were provoked don't understand that and think by telling the guy that he should be shot that they are better than him, when in reality they are just as bad if not worse.
Like come on telling a guy he should have a gun that shoots both ends so it shoots him and the animal at the same time .... Who thinks of this stuff? It seems quite childish, wishing someone was dead because they ask a question like this.
For starters they are protected and the chances of shooting one would be pretty slim. Also if you did shoot it, it would be difficult to get it out of the country (not impossible but difficult).
Also its a joke, as a true hunter would not seriously shoot a protected species. A true hunter respects hunting laws and regulations and believes in conservation. True hunters are part of ducks unlimited, Wildlife Federations and other similar conservation groups.
Now some tard is goinna say what about the illegally shot animals.. Well thats not a hunter doing that thats a poacher big difference bucko!

I thought the Siberian Tiger was on the endangered species list???
Anyway, although the Siberian Tiger is bigger than the Bengal Tiger, people used to hunt the Bengal Tiger in India with the old 6.5 Remington Magnum. I would say that is the minimum dangerous game gun to use on a tiger.
Like most of the people here I have to agree. I would pass on hunting tiger.
Good luck.

Your chosen game is a big and strong beast. I would go at least with a .400 Nitro Express or .416 Rigby. I might take my .460 Weatherby. A .375 H&H is the minimum I would consider if you are sensitive to recoil. Use rifles not pistols on dangerous game. It looks as if PeTA fanatics are after you. It is sad that they put tigers ahead of fellow humans and use other animals to annoy us hunters. My oldest sister is like that. The only reason she supports PeTA (PoTTY, I say) is to bug me and her husband who both hunt.

Check with the locals. They will probably have someting suitable for you anyway-- I wouldn't want to try to take one of my guns into Russia anyway.
You can probably get by with something like a .30-06; the Russian equivalent would probably be the 7.62x54mm that they use in the Dragunov sniper rifle.

You do not need a gun. You need a total lobotomy. Or you could go to Siberia, strip to your dirty underwear and pour gravy all over yourself.

I would not hunt one with anything less than a .458 Winchester and unfortunately money talks louder than than the life of one of these magnificent beasts they will probably let you do it. I must say i wish you the worst of luck in your endeavors

Leave them alone they are in short supply, whats more it will be hard to get a permit to go, take a camera instead, then somebody else can have the pleasure of seeing them for real later with a camera

Reminds me of the time I was on safari. When you shoot the bloody things, it just makes them even more angry.Had to throw 6 guides(take some boy scouts next time) at the thing just to stop it from eating me.In the end I was only saved by the fact the smell coming from my trousers put him off the idea.

i would at the very least take a .375 magnum, although preferably bigger just incase. You want something with as much stopping power as possible. Good luck for your shoulder.... it might hurt when u get back.
btw , Ignore all the "bunny huggers" and good luck
