if you feel that you can't be his friend right now because its just too painful just let him know how you feel. maybe the time apart is what you both need. but if you can handle being his friend than do so. all i know is when i stop dating a guy i have to take a step back from being his freind just till i get my feelings back on track because its very difficult especially if that person has moved on and tells you about it.

I was a big mean jerk to a girl when I found out she was chubby.
For months I spent time talking to her online and made her feel like we were close friends.
Even after we met and I treated her badly she still tried tobe my online friend.
Fianlly she woke up , lost weight and now she's hot and hates my guts.
Instead of clinging to bad guys like me you should move on , be happy and not dwell or bother with us at all.

girl, get over him. i know its hard, i've been in your shoes. he's nice to every new girl but once he gets sick of u, he changes...true, it hurts alot but trust me it gets betta with each passing day. i remained friends with the guy and had to swallow my hurt each time i see him with other girls but tell yourself he aint worth it. like in your case, he continued messaging me etc but i pretended nothing's wrong. trust me, the more he sees you're indifferent, the more intrigued he becomes. when i finally moved on and he saw me happy with someone else, he lost it :) its been over 10 years and we're both married and in our late twenties but he still asks about me to anyone who'll listen and says if only he didn't treat me dat way before ;) how do i know? we still have the same friends and when i bumped into him recently, he just stood and looked like he was going to cry while i walked away smiling...

Genuinely not care about the person, don't even give a damn because they won't ever about you.
