Don't give your dog science diet! this food contains corn which most labs (including mine) are allergic to and will dry them out and make them itch. I have found that california natural is a great food for my lab, though it is a little more expensive, it contains great ingredients and is a simple formula. Everyone tells me what a great coat my chocolate lab has. I have also tried some organic foods that seemed to work fine as well as natural balence is ok. Point is, look at the ingredients of the food. If it has corn, don't give it to your lab. If it has a lot of fillers (rice, byproducts,etc) don't get it. You may pay the extra dollar for the good food, but your lab will look great, it will eat less because it is all absorbed due to the fact there isn't any fillers, and it will poop less :) I hope this helps :)

Sorry about your dog. :( I don't know what a thymic hemorrage is, but they said that most who are affected by this will have problems with kidney failure. Science Diet was not on the list. Here is the website for it:

The dog food that was contaminated were only wet dog food, one of the brands was Iams.
