There has to be a reason for it, as there always is. She obviously isn't ready for you. The fact that she "suddenly" left you is in itself a partial answer. She just isn't ready-for whatever reason you know. Take that for face value and always respect yourself. Anyways, 1 year is a short time compared to the "what if" factor. Consider you two had stayed together to (possibly) discover that she'd do something like that or worse later on down the line. When the both of you are ready to work it out, it'll happen. You never know, she may have felt as if she wasn't good enough for you. Let her come back to you, since she left. Try to be optimistic and talk to her.

Did she walk away from the relationship or from you at that particular time? Maybe, she is just a bit scared and not ready to get married. Give her time and talk to her. Who knows, maybe she just said 'no' at that time. She might say 'yes' later. On the flipside, maybe she played you and you were never meant to be. Take heart. There's someone for everyone. This experience is supposed to build you. You have to realize that not everything will go the way you want always. S**t does happen! So, wipe the s**t off yourself, take some time to gather your bearings, don't do anyhting stupid and move on.

She wasn't in love with you. Maybe she thought she could eventually feel for you the same as you did for her, but you can't make yourself feel love, you either do or you don't. It's better that she's gone than to stay and marry you when she's not in love with you. It's better that she's gone, don't waste your time looking back. Life is too short. Keep looking for your love, she's out there. And when you meet her she's going to wonder what took you so long : )

There's always a reason why someone leaves another person. More than likely, she lost interest in you.
It may hurt, but time will heal, and you'll come across relationships that won't last, but in the end, when you find that one, all the heartbreak will be worth it.

count yourself lucky. she could have done that 5 years from now and left you in FAR worse shape!
BTW, why after just one year? Take your time, this is the most important thing you'll EVER do---don't mess this up or it will destroy you completely. There's plenty of time to be married when you are more certain who you are and who you are with.
Good luck

Things were taken way too fast......she does't know what she wants.....most women will not suddeny decide to get married as they are mature and take things slowly and are patient....
Learn from this mistake and next time spend more time knowing eachother...

Are you sure she left for no reason? There must be some explanation? Have you asked her why?
