People always get mad because they think that NYers are arrogant because they say what a great place they live in. Welll it is true that we live in the greatest place! They say it is $$$ and it certainly is, but why would people pay so much if it were not worth it. If nyc was not worth the high prices, everyone would move out and pay less to live in jersey. However that is not happening!

A lot of NYers move to North Carolina and Fl. Sure it is cheaper there, but it is lame. I like going to my local bakery and getting great food FAST not a franchise joint like panerra bread. I like going to places that have the best X in the city while all these other people think dining is going out to applebees or fridays. I like WALKING, which is the reason why people in manhattan are in shape. Also we have the hottest babes in the world walking down the st.

Your question lacks specificity. Do you mean New York City or New York State? I would live in parts of NY State. I particularly like the Adirondacks and the Lake George area (tourists and all). As for NYC, I did live there, but Dinky Licker was major at the time and the place was a dump - whores chasing you down 11th Ave by the Lincoln Tunnel, panhandlers spitting at you for not giving them a handout, squeegee men all over the place, especially by the NY exit to the Lincoln Tunnel. Not to mention the homeless person frozen to death over the subway vents outside my apartment building on 10th Ave. And oh, yeah - my wife's co-worker getting mugged right outside our building as well. Now it's a lot better, but I have kids and I wouldn't care to endanger them by putting them into the NYC public schools.

I would love to live in New York, but unfortunately my entire family, job, and all are in Washington.

I have a sister that lives there (Brooklyn). Great place to visit, but too cold, crowded, and expensive for me to call home. I'll stay in Florida.
