Hello there the quote was made by Sir Walter Scott ; one of the well known literary writer... The quote goes something like this;

"Oh, what a tangled web we weave, When first we practice to deceive!"

It was from his well known literary work "Marmion"

"Yet Clare's sharp questions must I shun,
Must separate Constance from the nun
Oh! what a tangled web we weave
When first we practice to deceive!
A Palmer too! No wonder why
I felt rebuked beneath his eye; "
