Hi im getting married this year and my wedding dress is new, my garter has a blue ribbon on, but i cant think of anything old or to borrow as of yet but im sure I will find somehting.

I might wear something off my mum which she has had for a while so this is borrowing and something old.

What i 'plan' to do is:

Something old - ?
Something new - my dress, shoes, garter, etc etc
Something borrowed - ?
Something blue - our wedding theme is white, silver & duck egg blue, so i will be having blue in my bouquet (hope that counts!)

Still got till next year to decided on the question marks...
But I'm not that bothered about following the ryhme.. if i remember to use all those things i will, i don't i won't be bothered

i'm definitely planning on following it! my family's somewhat superstitious, but it also seems fun to follow a tradition that's so old and is really easy to incorporate into a wedding outfit. ex. old jewelry, new dress, borrowed hair accessories and a blue garter. good luck with your wedding!

something old: a piece of my mums wedding dress that will be sewn into mine. (family tradition)

something new: my dress and tiara

something borrowed: my grandma's guardian angel brooch which will be pinned to the back of the dress

something blue: the colour of the ribbon that surrounds the fabric from mums dress that is sewn under the skirt.

Don't forget the last line --
...and a silver six pence for your shoe! =)

Yep, I'm gonna do it! Here's mine:
Old-- My mom's dress
New-- My shoes
Borrowed-- Family heirloom jewelry (goes back to Parent's after)
Blue-- ribbons on garter

I love that wedding rhyme!

This is what I've planned so far, but I may change it:
Old: dried flowers from my grandma's and great grandma's wedding bouquets, in my bouquet
New: Dress, or bridal jewelry.
Borrowed: Probably a bracelet my mom has or something.
Blue: My corset is baby blue.
