Love is what the heart has to offer. Lust is what the genitals have to offer. You can have lust for the one you love and you can love what the genitals have to offer but that wouldn't be love from the heart. Love is unconditional and lust is conditional. Love you can have with someone you care about without sex. Lust you can have with someone you love or not. Love is true. Lust clouds judgment. I met my wives through sight which I consider lust. As their was lust for several women that looked appealing to me. I found myself loving one and then I married her. Love came from several factors. I did not marry the one I lusted most for.

"In Love there is lust; in lust there in no Love."
This is a famous sentence in Tamil poetry world. And it is true.
Love is something which must be done even after attaining a age of 50 years, when you cannot physically do anything nor your mind will think that way.
Lust is just a part of your love.

Here is my opinion in a nutshell:
Lust is the hormone-driven attraction to another. It's the pure, animal form of searching for a potential partner.
Love is the emotional-driven attraction to another. It's ennobling and future seeking.
Now, if you think about it, it's pretty much impossible to have love without first experiencing lust. Here's another way I've seen it said:
"Men fight wars over lust, but make homes and families for love." :)

Lust is physical, and love meta-physiacal. While love is a basic emotional necessity, lust is a basic instinct. There is an intimate reltionship between the two..... you cant isolate the two in different water tight compartments.

Love is a feeling which starts with eye contact and is more relevant as a person. It is an attachment between two individual and is not bound to only opposite sex. Love can be between parent and kid, husband and wife, brother and sister, friends etc.
But lust is a negative one, it is more involved with physical attraction and sexual need.
