My reds and other bright colors almost seem to have a
glow and blind me. There are yellowish and greenish hues too. People seem to have too much red, green, and yellow in their skin. This tv is only 2 years old. I have the options of brightness, color, picture, sharpnes, and tint. I have played with each of these settings, and can't figure out which one or combo of them will fix my problem.

Set brightness and tint halfway....
Next, set contrast to 3/4....up to full...
SET YOUR COLOR 1/2.....
That's the factory setting.....

NOW, if the colors are TOO INTENSE....reduce the color back down until the Flesh looks like yours does.....
Or turn it up if it's too weak.....

IT SOUNDS LIKE YOUR COLOR IS MAXXED OUT....that's not the correct setting.....

Start with the Factory setting, then you should only ADJUST color intensity.....nothing else.

But if the blacks are too black....the brightness adjusts that...
If the Whites are too INTENSE...the contrast sets that.....
If the Colors are too DAYGLO....the color adjusts that....
And TINT? Nobody plays with Tint, they just set it in the middle.

If it's STILL BAD....time for a TV servicer to come out and see what the problem is.....

Most televisions will allow you to reset your settings. Do that first, and then begin with the color. Gradually decrease the color so your picture won't be too dark. You might want to darken the brightness a little bit. Just doing that should take care of the tint. But if not, just decrease that as well until you find a picture you like. Increasing any of those settings from the starting position will only make your problem worst.

The Demagnetizer partly engaged.....that Bullseye pattern appears when that happens..... If it isn't broken, the next time you turn it on in the morning, it should be gone....if not, then your Thermistor is bad, or has bad solder connections, or the RELAY's contactors are frozen together...... Unplug the demagnetizer, if the bullseye disappears you have a STUCK relay...... Bad solder connections and a Bad Thermistor are Visually OBVIOUS..... What's the Demagnetizer look like? Well, FIRST it's attached AROUND the picture tube and generally looks like it is wrapped in electrical tape....it has two wires going to the mains area with a plug on the end, that's where you unplug it.... The relay and the thermistor and the bad connections are located REAL CLOSE to where it plugs into the board, You should see some Rectangular boxes OR the Thermistor may look like a silvery or Reddish Disc..... You can TAP the relay gently with the plastic end of a screwdriver, which will RELEASE the contactors, but since they arced together.....they will continue to re-Arc together. So replace it if it is Stuck.....

If playing with the settings doesn't work, it could be that the television has a magnetizing problem. I had this problem with my TV once, and demagnetizing it fixed the probelm. TV repair men do it all the time, and it usually doesn't cost much.
