We did not get into this situation over night ... and we can not solve it quickly either!

Why didn't we do something about this problem when the situation was manageable? Too busy counting the profits I guess!

Now even if all of the law enforcement agencies in the US, and the combined military forces made this their highest priority ... they would still be working on it in 10 years, if they tried to deport them all!

The best answer is a "two pronged attack", give the illegals a set way to rectify their problem (exit, enter, pay a hefty fine, submit to a physical, get the required shots, submit to a background check (criminal history), etc).

For those illegals who actually go through the process, and are healthy and crime free, built them a path to citizenship (require English Comprehension, continued crime free record, employment, fully paid fine and costs of required testing at minimum).

Then expend the resources on those who can not, or will not comply! Imprisonment, deportation and big time fines, confiscation of the fruits of their illegal endeavors (basically everything they own!)

We have got to get the project manageable before we attempt this! Deporting all of the illegals is not an option anymore!

When you are up to your A$$ in alligators,it's time to wonder why you did not do something SOONER!

The right answer is definately to punish employers and punish HARD. Jobs will dry up and when they do, the illegals will have no reason to come here any more. I realize this is a problem that needs to be dealt with but we need to remember that illegals are just trying to improve thier lives and family's lives (although going about it in wrong way). Lets not punish THEM. Punish Employers so Illegal Immigration isnt attractive anymore.

If they are illegal send them back, and stop rewarding them here by giving them insurance, and other benifits. Just think about it. Their ILLEGAL. Now if they are legal, fine. But illegals should have NO rights whatsoever. I mean the first thing they did in our country was break the law. Another thing I hate is why are we becoming so duel language. This in America and our language is ENGLISH, so if you don't know it then learn it. We make it entirely too easy and there are no consequences to being an illegal alien. I am thinking of moving to Mexico and then sneeking across the border to America to get me and my family some of that free insurance and tax breaks.

the same question did do long time ago, more than 500 years before today, the people who was already living in this continent, when the Europeans began the illegal immigration from their land to steal from this people the wealth and recourses of their land. illegally. through a campaign of terror, theft and genocide which the Europeans have falsely called " discovery and exploration" where Europeans killed just in the first 100 years more than 23 millions of persons, using dishonesty, deceit, and dishonorable behavior as tools against them. but did you know that Europeans did use another weapon different than rifles and fire weapons for massive killing of this people? they saw the effects of small pox in the population and this was the biological weapon cowardly used against them killing them by whole towns by thousands and more. this was the secret weapon of the European success as capitalist. it was nothing civilized, Christian, moral, or ethical in the behavior of the Europeans since the moment that they illegally set foot on this continent. They killed unarmed men, women, and children massive massacres. they beat, mutilated and tortured that people in order to keep them terrorized and in a stage of constant submission to the process of genocide and the theft of the rich resources of their continent. through the past 500 years this people has been exterminated by this slow motion killing that Europeans did start .Slavery and terror has been the most cruel procedures to exterminate this people, but after many years they do still stand.
