Hey
I'm sorry, this is like my 4th post about my new puppy tonight.. but anyway, I just wanna make sure i do it right.
Once she is about 4 months old I will be going to a concert with my boyfriend, meaning we'll be gone for about 4 hours.
The puppy is about 2 pounds and won't get much more than 4....
Is it safe to leave her?
Also, overall is it safe to leave her for about 2 hours every day?
She would be in an enclosed area with her bed , food, water, toy....

I was working when I first got my puppy as well, and I actually ended up taking him to work. But even still I couldn't keep him up front so I had to set up his stuff in the back room. I laid a pad out, water, food, and his bed. I didn't leave a toy in fear that he might choke or something and I wouldn't be able to hear him. I think she should be okay for a couple hours. Because they do tend to sleep a lot when their puppies. Just make sure there is nothing for her to hurt herself on or with. But best would be to see if someone could watch her for the four hours your going to be gone.

If the area you leave her in is absolutely free of danger, then yes, it’s fine to leave her. If there are cords, small spaces she could become trapped in, or toys/bones that have tiny parts, then no, it is not ok. Puppy proof the area completely and be careful about the toys you leave with her. Pups have a way of disassembling even the sturdiest looking things (I woke up in the middle of the night last month to find that my pup had removed the squeaker from one of her toys and was busy trying to swallow it).

Oh my gosh girl, I am glad to know you are concerned for your puppy, but it is definitely fine that you are leaving it. If you are always there it is just going to make it harder on the puppy as it gets older to accept when you leave. Your puppy will turn into the kind of dog that cries and barks when you leave. But as long as she is in a enclosed area, and there's nothing little that she may chew and choke on you are fine..

Yep its fine! Its actually good for her that you start now so that she doesnt start to get separation anxiety and get stressed out when you leave her. It is not realistic to think that anyone will be able to be with their puppy/dog 24/7, and this is fine, it is just important that she gets used to it. As long as she is in a safe, confined environment, you have nothing to worry about.

It is ok to leave them for four hours. Just make sure you leave out food and water and something to entertain them. I leave my television on so the house isn't so quiet. I have my puppy litter trained as well as to go out side. I can't stand the thought of tying him out all day while I am at work.

for the concert you might want to get a puppy sitter puppies like to pee and poop and they will do it anywhere they can leave her with a friend that you trust or a family member and if she does have an accident inside dont beat her its not her fault you didnt let her out puppies should be let out atleast every hour and try to start a routine with her wake up eat go pee play for example dont leave the puppy tied up outside its just mean and other animals could come along and hurt her

leave hhim, we had a dog and often left him for a couple of hours during the day, if you worry that he will be lonely leave the telly or a radio on for him, just make sure you walk him for toilet before you go out and when you come back, water and food and he'll be fine....enjoy your concert
