There is nothing wrong, with being cool and reserved, towards someone that has hurt you.
But good manners is good breeding. Be polite, greet him, there is no need to indulge him in further conversation.
Try not to let circumstances make you bitter. You will be the better person for it.

DO NOT hang all over some other guy. For one its childish, immature and pathetic. Two, if he has moved on he isnt going to care, its gonna bother you and make you frustrated. Three, its not worth the effort or yor time. Four, you are better than that.
But, to specifically answer question. No, you do not have to speak to him. He screwed you over, and he doesn't deserve to speak to you. Ignore him, and let him know that he screwed up. But dont go overboard by trying to make him jealous with another guy. Because if he truly is over you, then he is probably going to think its pathetic and hilarious. You arnt going to make him jealous, you are just going to give him a damn good laugh.

I am sorry to say it, but typical guy. No, you do not have to say hi to him. Just ignore him. A guy who does that to you is not worth the energy. You just spend some time to heal from it and move on. You will find a guy who treats you the right way one of these days. I am sure he is upset too, but can't show it. He just wants his cake and to eat it too. Just do your best to get over him. I know it is easier said than done. 3 years is a long time. I have been there and done that. You will be ok.

you don't have to ever speak to anyone, but it is the mature thing to go on. You will have had many people in your life dating or friends that may not pan out. you can't go around avoiding everyone. Just pass and smile, maybe a nod hello. Just to show no hard feelings. don't strike up an uncomfortable conversation. Just be polite.

If you look so hung up on him it will give him pleasure amd a huge ego, you should either get a new boyfriend and start dressing up well and make the class laugh and be cool. he'll want u back.

I don't think u should feel obligated to acknowledge him.
If u don't feel comfortable then dnt say hi........
According to me u should tell hi to him and ignore him completely and show him u also have moved on with ur life.....
All the best dear

Than you need to move on too. The more he sees that you have moved on the more it will bother him, don't talk to him just treat him like he is nobody, and he will come running to see why you are not talking to him!

even if it killed me i would get a makeover, put a smile on my face, say hello when necessary and pretend that all is well. start getting out with your friends and meeting new people. trust me one day you will look back on this and it will not seem so painful.
