Was it some kind of Prophet?
Did God come down from heaven and tell you how to live?
Did some crazy old guy convince you Gods angels had talked to him???

Or did a giant spaghetti monster touch you with his noodly appendage :)

There are several Orders, Temples, Guilds, Grottos, and Churches who have popped up since the Church of Satan™ began to change their ways and members broke off. The two biggest ones: The Temple of Set™, and the First Church of Satan™ were both founded by previous members of the Church of Satan™. Modern Satanism is very similar to LaVeyan Satanism only you wont see as many "LaVeyan" supporters. This does not mean LaVey is frowned upon, or walked on, but he is only one individual in the world, and we Modern Satanists tend to always want more

It's unknown. Hindus believe that the ancient rishis that chanted the Vedas (which were then later finally written down....but are still memorized and chanted the same even today) discovered the universal truths themselves and then showed others the practices so that they, too, could also discover them. One belief is that the Vedas truths and wisdom is preserved and passed from one universe to another (since universes, like everything else, dissolve away and then manifest from the Divine again), but that the names, etc, differ of course from universe to universe (but then again Hindus believe you can call the Divine by any name since the Divine is all names and beyond all names). The word Veda is Sanskrit and means "knowledge". The Vedas are plural because there are four of them the Rig, Atharva, Yajur, and Sama Vedas (the Rig Veda being the oldest....being written down in 5000BCE, and chanted for thousands of years before then).

Hinduism has no one person that is associated with its founding. Hindus call their religion Sanatana Dharma (Eternal Way) both because they believe the truths are not limited to any one founder or person and because they believe that all people can ultimately discover the same universal truths when they look deep within the innate nature of the inner Self regardless of what religious tradition, if any, they follow.

In the end Hindus make it a point, like Buddhism and other Eastern religions, that a person shouldn't just accept tradition and belief simply because you read it in a book or are told by someone else, but that you should only believe based on experience. Thus the Buddhist saying is probably best here, but it sums up Hindus beliefs, too, "try it and if it doesn't work for you, move on and try something else." Or as the founder of Hinduism Today once said "Hinduism isn't about 'believe this or else', it's about finding out for yourself the experiences by doing practices. What practice might work for one person in Hinduism may not work for another. Thus there is many paths to the one Truth."

Great question. Peace be with you.

In my view, religion and religious teachings are One. I view religion not as a creation by some body. It is the way of life lived by many of our ancestors. Trial and Error evolved over many centuries culminated into a new code which we call religion. Be it Christian, Islam or Hindu, all the teachings are ancient wisdom. Not newly created by some prophet. In the Intuitive meditations, prophets hear the voice of God and record them subsequently for the sake of welfare of humanity. Based on the region, language and time, a name is assigned to give it to a distinctive identity. nagarajan.

Man created religion. God doesn't have a "religion". Man has constantly changed and re-vamped the Word to his own liking. Religion is not from Jesus. It is from humans. If you want to be a believer, go by the Word of God and not by a man-made plan.
