wt is the diff. b/w BE & Btech? i think both are related to engineering. but some people say Btech is all abt new technologies in the field of computers, electronics, mechanics etc. bt then engineering is also same. so wts the main diff b/w the two?

the answer is very simple
when u r doing a experiement in science you have to write the principle and procedure that PRINCIPLE is called B.E and the PROCEDURE is called B.TECH

In India BE means Bachelor of Engineering and BTech means Bachelor of Technology. Generally both are same, the name of the degree depends on the Engineering college / University who confers the same. Generally IITs degree is BTech.
BTech degree given to Instrumentation, Food Technology and other branches also.

No, it is not about new technology. BTechs have been in vogue since 1970s (all IITs give BTech degree). If you expand, BE is Bachelor of Engineering and BTech is Bachelor of Technology. Certain college offer BTech degree and others BE. But it really doesn't matter. It is more about good or bad college which matters more than BTech or BE.

WELL U CAN SAY THIS BUT THE REASON WHICH I HAD OBSERVED IS THAT THE DIFFERENCE B/W B.E AND B. TECH. IS THAT FOR JOB U SHOULD HAVE SOME EXPERIENCE IF U R HOLDING B.TECH DEGREE AND IF U HAVE B.E DEGREE THEN THERE IS NO PROBLEM IN FINDING A JOB IF U DONT HAVE ANY EXPERIENCE IN THAT FIELD.

B.TECH is the degree offered by the NIT'S and IIT'S in india and B.E is the degree offered by normal engineering colleges.

BE,here in nigeria education system means,barchlor in education,while B.Tech,is barchlor in Technology.So if u find urself in education dept.u will obtain BE,while u obtain B.Tech if u find urself in any engineering field.

B.tech is Science and technology related study. it means that theory of the subject is higher than B.E
BE is mostly consist of mathematical Expressions. it is more than B.Tech
