most of the places in Bombay are controlled by local dons who send their subordinates to collect haftha from individual vendors and these hawkers occupy the footpath to add agony some of the shopkeepers even display their goods outside their area by creating nuisance to the common man,distrupting the traffic, create menace,throw litters everywhere after their business ( both the hawkers,vendors) If some one question them they show their muscle power with their supported officials who turn a blind eye on their activities because they get their regular extra money..Why they don't care for civic responsibilities and act tough with them? BMC Van / Wireless Van/Beat bikes you will most of the times see them doing nothing except advising us hide and seek methods go here go there we r running short of staff are their common saying..When these things will be corrected and we will have a breathing space and a safe protection of our foot paths? and get rid of this himalayan problem? who will act

Local council should be responsible to deal with the situation. You can't just lodge the application in supreme court. You have to get a petition signed by local resident then go to you council office submit an application. If no action is taken then see your lord mayor. if not local politicians and so on long process to enter supreme court. But what ever you do keep a copy of all paper work you have recieved during corospondance with any officials. spartan

The common man is the customer of individual vendors and hawkers of public footpath. It is the common man who stands between the Bombay marketing structure and officials.
Eliminate supporting officialdom or haftha collections because the common man cannot be removed from the commercial life of India.

Most of the corporations charge some rents to this hawkers. So u better meet opposition party corporators and tell about this. U alone can not do all this u take help of freinds, n g o, newspaper, t v channels etc to show v can fight anyone.

You can submit application in Supreme Court of India. Delhi is already victim of all above. Shopkeepers should be hanged on next pole. They force handicapped, senior citizens, ladies, children to walk on road in traffice.
