This guy who i went out on a first date with- i had a good time, the second time he told me he would have his friend drive him to a bar we were meeting each other at.. Well i got there and his friend was there but i didnt see him, i met his friend before so i tried being friendly with him-he wasnt friendly to me.. Then my date showed up-he was in the bathroom.. I felt uncomfortable hanging out with the two of them,, my date asked me if i want to leave-i said ok and his friend drove us back to his place to just hang out... then i took a cab home..
Why would a guy do this?

He is probably trying to let you know that he just wants to be friends! That is the only reason I can think of to bring a friend along on a date!

There could be several reasons for this.
1. He wanted to see what his friend thought of you. This is a bad sign since it means he can't decide on his own.
2. He wanted back-up. With his friend there, he might be able to "let his hair down", so to speak.
3. He didn't have a choice. Since his friend was his ride, he could have invited himself on the date knowing your companion was in a bind and couldn't refuse.
4. He wanted to turn you off by making such an inconsiderate move like bringing his friend along. Maybe he couldn't tell you he really didn't want a second date and was hoping his friend would tick you off enough that you wouldn't want a third. If this is the case, you should definitely stay away since this is a sign of immaturity.
5. It could be a combination of any of the above.
In any instance, it was very inconsiderate for him to bring his friend along. Not only that, he didn't even get you home; instead, you were forced to take a cab. All signs are pointing to STAY AWAY. :)
