Maybe show her some magazine photos of people with dyed hair. Show her that it's fashionable. Spend some time in the mag racks until you find that right picture of the respectable looking successful girl with dyed hair. It might just work.

If not, tell her that you are also thinking about chopping off all your hair-to the scalp!

First off, you don't give your age,but if I were you,(I have girls that have long left home) I would go easy. Again, you don't say if your hair is light or dark. Try starting with something more reasonable, such as a light streak. Not pink, just a bit lighter than your own. Then if she likes that, you can start doing things a little stronger. Go slowly and keep your word. It sounds to me that she is not opposed to the dye,it' the colour and the way. Hope it works.

ok dyeing ur hair isn't the worst ingredient interior the international you're able to do.... as nicely you're very almost 18 and can do it on your very own then without anyones permission. there is not any longer plenty she would be in a position to assert, different than get a sprint mad and sweetness the way you should do one in each and every of those ingredient (yet ALL mothers try this) merely one little ingredient, in case you're gonna start up at this age dyeing ur hair...take a tip from me (who all started at sixteen and characteristic thinning unmanageable hair at 35)...get it accomplished professionally so which you do no longer smash it as undesirable as attempting to do it urself with shop offered stuff (that's sooooo plenty worse to ur hair than the professional stuff)

ok well maybe you should wait a while. if you rush and get your hair dyed and don't like it it can be a big ol' mess! and if you dye it you'll have to keep paying for dye. plus maybe if you don't ask your mom for a while then say ok i've waited a while now can i get itt done maybe she'll say yes. lol

you might regret it...cuz when i asked my mum, she didn't let me. so i just went ahead and did it...guess what? my hair ended really badly, i had to cut it really short....and only then did i look like a freak. I never wanted to dye my hair after that. .well, at least i learned my lesson.

Tell her than in return you will do something she wants you to do. Maybe shovel all the snow during winter or something!

Respect your mother's wishes. You live under HER roof, you eat HER food, she buys YOU clothes.

It doesn't matter if you offer to pay for it or not. She doesn't want you to do it.

Respect that.
