Are these people being rude or is it all in my head.....?
I was at a Wal-Mart in a bad area and a Spanish guy and his wife were in the area I was looking at tvs. I walked by him while he was watching something and I said "Excuse me" to be polite and he goes "Yeah", then starts talking to his wife in Spanish.

He just said yeah real fast. Then his wife just looked at me and I stared at her right back as I muttered "Asshole" to her husband.

Then when I was leaving a scrawny 94 lb. streeth thug started staring at me because I looked in the same direction as his wife. So I stared at him right back and then I went to my car.

This was hours ago and it's bothering me. Why do I take people so much to heart? I've ALWAYS been this way and im 26. Im not a troublemaker, I am a good guy who runs his mouth when people piss him off or give them a good stare, just like any guy would.

I just don't appreciate jerks. Do I have some issues that need to be addressed?

Sorry to say this, but you were a trouble maker, for sure, with the guy in Walmart. You were totally out of line, and probably bigger than him or you wouldn't have called him asshole.

Street thugs are taught to stare and posture and act tough, if you are a good guy and go in bad areas you know this.

And to be a real "good guy" you'll just have to learn to control your mouth, or to the rest of society you are no better than the people who piss you off.

Yeah, you already realize you have issues to be addressed, and you probably can do that on your own. You seem to have the answers, just put this into play and shut the mouth; and think before you actually speak. That may save you blood pressure problems when you get older. Good luck.

Unfortunately, a lot of people in bad neighborhoods have learned to act like that if for no other reason than to save their own hides. In their neck of the woods, just about everything to them is confrontation and they will act accordingly- after all, the other person is frequently a rival out to get them(or their money, significant other, power, etc.) This is not to imply that you are like that, or that you don't have a right to feel put out, but for your own safety I would take your shopping business to a better neighborhood. Many bad-area inhabitants don't forget a single face and will remember what you did to "challenge" them for a long time to come.

Manners are a thing of the past and people don't respect each other as much as they used to back in the day where an excuse me was sufficient and you say that to someone today they're turning their nose up at you acting as if you're beneath them.

Like you said... you were in a bad area. People in bad areas have to be badasses just to get by and they take this attitude with everyone as a defense mechanism. Don't take it to heart. I know I always do in these situations but these types of people just don't trust anyone they don't know. There's nothing wrong with you... you just have a heart.

You know the answer to your own question.. yes you have a problem!

You're definitely not normal.. going around calling people assholes and staring at them is going to get you beaten up at least eventually.

Next time just brush it off. You could very easily end up a statistic for staring at people in such a confrontational manner. Just let it go.

Yeah, I agree. Don't run your mouth when people piss you off. You don't need to bring yourself down to their level. If someone acts like a jerk, you don't act like a jerk in response. Just forget it and move on.
